New members are welcome!

If you are a woman who supports CFUW’s mission and values, you are welcome to join. A university degree is no longer a requirement. We strive to be inclusive.

Membership fees go towards supporting:
The work of our Club,
CFUW National which coordinates CFUW work nationally and advocates both nationally and internationally,  and
CFUW Ontario Council which coordinates work at the provincial level.

We offer an interesting Program of Speakers on a variety of topics, special events and fundraisers, and many interest groups to keep you informed and engaged. See our 2024-25 Club Brochure.

For 2024 – 2025
We have resumed ‘in person’ activities and meetings but will continue to embrace technology if necessary. The use of Zoom has proved to be popular and successful in keeping our Club vibrant. Some general meetings, those over the winter months, will continue to be via Zoom. We will keep you updated. 

Membership Fees 2024 – 2025 
Full Membership: $120.00
Dual Membership (if you have joined another CFUW Club): $60.00 
Student Membership: $70.00 

If you are interested in joining, send an e-mail requesting information. One of our Membership Convenors will contact you.  Join us as a guest at one of our general meetings. A membership convenor will be on hand if you have questions and to provide details. 

For your convenience, we now offer payment via e-transfer.

Returning Members: Fees are due by September 30.
New members: You may join any time throughout the year, which starts in September. If you join after January 1, the membership fee will cover the remainder of the year plus the following year.

True Davidson, the first Mayor of East York, was a founding member, and involved in establishing CFUW Leaside – East York. Since 1955, we are a CFUW Club of women who have fun, learn together, support each other, and strive to make a difference through working towards our mission and ideals.
